Man LifeFlighted after 3 men beat him up

LORAIN — A Lorain man had to be LifeFlighted to a Cleveland hospital after he was assaulted by three men overnight, but he is in good condition this morning.

According to a police report, officers arrived at 1235 W. 24th St. about 10:20 last night and found Pascal James down in the front yard.

A witness told police he heard noises and looked outside to see the man being assaulted by three black males. He said the men punched and kicked James until he fell down, then continued to strike him before fleeing eastbound toward Oberlin Avenue.

James was unresponsive, and his head was swollen and he was bleeding from his mouth, the report said.

James was taken by ambulance to Mercy hospital and then was LifeFlighted to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Ohio gas prices steady amid economic uncertainty

COLUMBUS — Ohio gas prices have steadied amid uncertainty about the global economy.
The current survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express shows Ohio’s average price for regular-grade gasoline has ticked down to about $2.78 a gallon, a penny lower than last Monday.

Browns WR Joshua Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi still out following concussions

BEREA – Browns receivers Joshua Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi were held out of practice against Thursday as they recover from concussions suffered Sunday in a 28-10 loss to Pittsburgh.
Coach Eric Mangini said they were at team headquarters and participating in meetings. Their status for Sunday in New Orleans in uncertain.
