Stacy Galvan, 32, was arrested and taken to the Lorain city jail, according to a police report.

Police were called to an apartment in the 2500 block of Elyria Ave. about 9 p.m. for a report of intoxicated juveniles that were out of control. They found Galvan and two of the children arguing.

Galvan told officers that she was intoxicated and had let her children drink and they had gotten out of control, the report said. Two of the children were 12 years old and one was 13, according to police. Two are Galvan’s children and the third is another relative.

Galvan continued to tell police that she can no longer handle her children, she does not want them, and the the reason she is an alcoholic is because she can no longer handle her children, the report said.

While speaking with Galvan, officers heard cries from another room and found the third child lying in a pile of vomit and fading in and out of consciousness due to his intoxication, the report said.

That child was transported to the hospital to be treated for alcohol poisoning, the report said. His condition was not immediately available.

Galvan’s children told police they each tried only one drink but did not care for it. They said the other child continued to drink with Galvan.

According to the report, Galvan was so intoxicated that she vomited in the back of a police car and later urinated in the jail booking area, according to a police report.

The other two children were released to the custody of their grandmother. The report was forwarded to Lorain County Children Services.
