8:10am – November is National Prematurity Awareness Month. This morning we spoke with Dr. Vidya Raman-Tangella and Debra Ness, president for the National Partnership of Women and Families, about the dangers of early or elective c-sections.

8:40am – How well a child learns is directly related to their economic status, UNLESS a student is already familiar with the subject being taught. Robert Pondiscio, executive director of the Knowledge Matters Campaign, explained how he has found prof of this in his studies and how he is using it to help change the mindset of children in American schools.
