United Way Kickoff Campaign

The United Way of Greater Lorain County will host their annual Campaign Kickoff this Friday at Mike Bass Ford from 11:30am – 1pm.

The event will be hosted by the United way of Greater Lorain County and feature all 11 Community Collaboratives along with the Lorain County Volunteer Connection.

This annual event signals the start of the United Way of Greater Lorain County’s Annual Fundraising Campaign. It is free to member of the community and will feature a free lunch, Greater Cleveland’s famous mascots, live music from the Midview High School Marching Band and a highlighting of the impact that is being made by the Collaborative through fundraising efforts.

During the event WEOL’s Bruce Van Dyke and Craig Adams will broadcast from the show room letting you know about all the fun going on. If you can’t make it, make sure to tune into AM930 and WEOL.com.

Again, the event is free to the community, so come down to Mike Bass Ford on Friday from 11:30am to 1pm and listen in on AM930 WEOL.

7:40am – This weekend, Protests in Charlottesville, Virginia turned deadly. Rev. Wayne Arnason and Rev. Kathleen Rolenz were on hand to witness the events that unraveled. This morning the former co-ministers of West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church of Rocky River gave us their account of the protests.

8:10am – The Indians Curtis Danburg joined us to talk about the Tribes big series win over the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend.

8:40am – From a news School Building to a news school year, we touched on it all with North Ridgeville Schools Superintendent Jim Powell.
