Edith Baker, 23, of South Amherst was charged with assault, Johnathen Graham, 19, of Elyria was charged with criminal damage, and a 17-year-old Elyria girl was certified to juvenile court for assault.

According to the police report, the dispute began when Baker’s car, which was parked in front of a home on Sixth Street, was struck by another vehicle that left the area.

Graham, who is Baker’s boyfriend, became mad because he believed a female in the residence either had caused the damage or knew who had and wasn’t saying.

He then reportedly went to the female’s car and began damaging it, causing damage to the side lights, the roof and several other dents in both sides. Graham later told police he used a brick to break the lights and damage the roof but insisted the rest of the damage was already there.

While Graham was in a “fit of rage,” his father came out and tried to calm him down, and the two began to wrestle, the report said.

While his father was restraining him, the 17-year-old came out of the home and kicked Graham in the head, causing him to lose consciousness briefly.

LifeCare was called to the scene for Graham, but he wound up refusing to go to the hospital.
