CARLISLE TWP. — A teenager who was hit by a snowplow while he was shoveling his driveway Monday is in slightly worse shape this morning.
MetroHeath Medical Center in Cleveland reports he is now listed in fair condition. He was listed in good condition yesterday morning.
A spokeswoman said she is hopeful he can overcome this “setback.”
According to the State Highway Patrol, Jason White, 18, was hit about 9:45 Monday morning near the intersection of Butternut Ridge and Indian Hollow roads in Carlisle Township.
He was struck by a snowplow owned by a private company, Plas Plowing, the State Highway Patrol said. First responders reported White had facial injuries.
First responders requested a LifeFlight helicopter, but weather prevented the helicopters from flying. A LifeCare ambulance requested and received approval to drive White directly to MetroHealth.
