2020 Lorain County Scholastic Games

The Scholastic Games of Lorain County enters its 30th year hosted by Jim Mehrling. It features sixteen Lorain County high schools competing for academic excellence . It’s heard Monday nights at 6pm* on AM930 & 100.3FM WEOL presented by the Elyria Public Library System. 

1/27  Vermilion vs Amherst

2/4    Avon (defending champion) vs. Lake Ridge Academy

2/10  Avon Lake vs. Elyria

2/17  Midview vs. North Ridgeville

2/24  Brookside vs. Firelands

3/2    Oberlin vs. Olmsted Falls

3/9    Elyria Catholic vs. Wellington

3/16  Clearview vs. Keystone

3/23 Avon Lake vs Vermilion – Quarterfinal

3/30 Brookside vs Clearview – Playoff-winner goes to the Quarterfinal

4/6  Elyria Catholic vs. North Ridgeville – Quarterfinal

Previous shows were recorded prior to the COVID-19 school shutdown. It is uncertain whether recording sessions can be held to complete the following quarterfinals and semifinals to determine the program’s 30th annual county academic champion.

Wildcard: Avon vs. Olmsted Falls (highest-scoring losing teams)—winner to quarterfinals

Third Quarterfinal: Winners from Brookside, Clearview, and Avon, Olmsted Falls contests

 Fourth Quarterfinal: Lake Ridge vs. Oberlin
