6/13/23 7:20 June is designated as effective communication month, something very near and dear to our radio station! The ability to communicate effectively is crucial, especially when on the battlefield as Army Reserve Staff Sgt. James Garvin phoned in from Germany (!!!) and discussed his role in communication, why it’s so important even outside of the combat world, and how folks can more effectively communicate in their everyday lives. (4:33)

6/13/23 8:20 We’re back with the Main Street Beat! Summer is a great time to be by the water, and no one knows that better than Main Street Vermilion Executive Director and Vermilion native Kate Repola! Kate is still getting her feet under herself as Executive Director, but what a summer she has lined up! One fun event is the annual Driftwood Art Contest, taking place July 8th at Exchange Park! Kate gave us details on the contest, what makes it so fun, and a new addition this year so that even the little kiddos have something to enjoy! (10:23)

6/13/23 8:40 It’s Tuesday, which means we get a visit from The Chronicle-Telegram Coupon Queen, Rachel Krych! Rachel talked all about summer reading this week as local libraries begin their summer reading programs and kids looks to complete their summer reading assignments. Plus, did you know kids can earn free pizza and Chuck E. Cheese tokens just for reading this summer? Take a listen! (16:49)
