Leading up to the 2024 total solar eclipse that will be visible throughout northeast Ohio, the WEOL Morning Show will be conducting interviews to help get you ready for this historic event!

- We’re just six months away from the eclipse sweeping across Ohio! Dave Freeman, Director of the Lorain County Department of Emergency Management, stopped by to share some of the traffic management and organization they are trying to implement as folks will be in a craze across the county to try and get the best view.
#1 – Join the Sol-a-bration!
- Come join the Sol-a-bration! A Partial Solar Eclipse, where a portion of Sol will be covered by the Moon, will grace the skies of Northeast Ohio on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The Lorain County Metroparks, the Black River Astronomical Society (B.R.A.S.), and Space Systems Consulting, LLC, are hosting an eclipse celebration at Lakeview Park in Lorain that day from 11am-3pm! Steve Schauer from the B.R.A.S. joined the Morning Show to talk about the event, which will include safe viewing of the eclipse through special telescopes! Plus, Steve shared his excitement for next April’s total solar eclipse that will bring thousands of visitors to Northeast Ohio.
