6/28/22 7:40 The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is leading the charge to improve treatment, care, and outcomes for children with blood cancer. Treatments are harsh and outdated, and kids are different and need to be treated differently. To address this, the LLS continues to expand its commitment to pediatric blood cancer patients and their families through its Dare to Dream Project. Here to share more about the project was Courtney Addison, a mother of pediatric cancer survivor, and Gwen Nichols, Chief Medical Officer of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It’s the focus of this week’s Main Street Beat, presented by the Lorain County Visitors Bureau. The Cavs took shooting guard Ochai Agbaji out of Kansas with the 14th overall pick, and Tim is excited about the potential for this young man on both sides of the floor as well as his championship experience. Plus, it’s Mobley X2, as the Cavs drafted Isaiah Mobley, brother of last year’s first-round pick Evan, in the second round! (12:43)

6/24/22 8:40 A little history on a Friday never hurt! Shipwrecks of the Great Lakes is a talk that encompasses some of the lost ships in the Great Lakes over the years and the many lives that were lost. Carrie Snowden, Archaeological Director at the National Museum of the Great Lakes, stopped by to share some more information about the program! With the games opening this Friday, 2019 Special Olympics athlete Shawn Hatcher joined the WEOL Morning Show to talk about the importance games and what they mean for all of the athletes who compete.
