The Mayor discussed a recent incident involving a city employee that harassed the mayor and his family. Mayor Whitfield also recapped a successful summer of Walking Tours and shared tons of information about upcoming events. The Midway Mall Townhall meeting is this Thursday from 5:30-7pm, the Elyria Farmers Market returns this Saturday along with a Pops concert at 6:30pm! And don’t forget, the Apple Festival returns next month!
Mayor Whitfield had a lot to talk about for the month of July, including programs and events for seniors as well as youth and families! Bike with the mayor continues to be a success, as was the DJ Pool Party on the 22nd! Plus, road resurfacing projects continue with the East Broad Street project starting later this month on the 31st.

Spring has sprung! Mayor Whitfield talked about the recent success of a local job fair, a newly opened dog park in the city at Hilltop Park, and his desire for residents to participate in the “Our Elyria” survey.
