The Mayor discussed a recent incident involving a city employee that harassed the mayor and his family. Mayor Whitfield also recapped a successful summer of Walking Tours and shared tons of information about upcoming events. The Midway Mall Townhall meeting is this Thursday from 5:30-7pm, the Elyria Farmers Market returns this Saturday along with a Pops concert at 6:30pm! And don’t forget, the Apple Festival returns next month!


Mayor Whitfield had a lot to talk about for the month of July, including programs and events for seniors as well as youth and families! Bike with the mayor continues to be a success, as was the DJ Pool Party on the 22nd! Plus, road resurfacing projects continue with the East Broad Street project starting later this month on the 31st.


Mayor Whitfield talked about a ton happening in the city right now, including tonight’s Independence Day celebration at the West Park and Rec Center! Plus, the mayor discussed upcoming “We Ride – Bike with the Mayor” dates as well as dive-in movie nights!


Mayor Whitfield had tons to discuss heading into the holiday weekend, including tonight’s Elyria High School Community Appreciation Concert, the Elyria Memorial Day Parade, and some other fun summer activities coming up in the month of June! Plus, Mayor Whtifield dove into his latest involvement with Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest organization in the fight for sensible gun safety measures.

Spring has sprung! Mayor Whitfield talked about the recent success of a local job fair, a newly opened dog park in the city at Hilltop Park, and his desire for residents to participate in the “Our Elyria” survey.


On the agenda today was Mayor Whitfield’s recent state of the city address, brush and branch pickup this weekend as part of the post-storm cleanup, new radios for the fire department, and more!

It’s a busy February! Mayor Whitfield and the guys covered a bevy of topics, including an update on the planned Esports facility for downtown Elyria, the East Broad Street widening project, city events for the county bicentennial, and a timetable for the Cleveland Street and Gulf Road intersection project.
