April 22 – May 1 the Olde Towne Hall Theater will present the classic play “Moon Over Buffalo”. Find out more about the upcoming show with spokesperson Lisa Carter.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Jonathan Edwards will perform at the Kent Stage and at the listening Room in Port Clinton next Friday and Saturday. Before you go see him, hear about what has inspired Edwards’ music over the years.

We have all heard the sad stories of someone getting rid of their beloved dog because it becomes aggressive with a young child. With that in mind, Kara Hamilton wrote the children’s book A New Leash on Life to creatively educate small children about how to behave around the family pet.

This morning Sharon H. Kneiss and Leonard Joyce of the National Waste and Recycling Association discussed how technology has impacted the recycling and waste management efforts in our county.

It was a busy morning, as Bruce and Craig talked with Dawn Meyer, from Neighborhood Alliance about the “Peace Out Homelessness” 5K race.

 

Greg Williams told us about the Ohio Business Expo.

 

Local high schooler Rosie Shepherd visited the studio to talk about being named Ohio Youth of the Year by the Ohio-Michigan Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

 

And Barb Piscopo spoke about making local history more entertaining, with the production of Blooms of Steel: The Musical.

Thursday, 4/14/16

Bruce and Craig welcomed Sara Warner of the Lorain County General Health District about how spring rains can contaminate private drinking water supplies.

 

And they chatted about plumbing with Local 55 president and training instructor Doreen Cannon, who talked about the Ohio  United Association Apprenticeship Contest.
