It’s time to start getting ready for the holidays, and we learn about The Christmas Tree Elf, the award winning new Christmas classic by author Valentine D’Arcy Sheldon.

We also found out what’s new in family gaming and computing from James Oppenheim, who called in with great gift suggestions.

Wednesday, 11/19/14

For every parent that has wished their child came with instructions…we talked with Dr. Gloria Walther, education specialist and author.

The Black River Stamp Club is honoring veterans during their annual show, and we spoke with club president, Helen Kopp.

Everybody likes bubbles, and we talked with Chris Bensch about bubbles and the other toys inducted this year into the National Toy Hall of Fame.

Tuesday, 11/18/14

We heard from Dr. Richard Hetsko of Oberlin Hearing Care, who talked about how holiday gatherings sometimes reveal hearing problems.

Sean Vesce of E-Line Media talked about “Never Alone,” the first commercial video game designed to tell the story of an indigenous people from their perspective.

And, with November being National Adoption Awareness Month, adoption social worker Deb Wentz spoke about the support that is available to those considering adoption.

It’s Open Enrollment time for the Affordable Care Act, and Nichole Fantauzzi of Lorain County Health and Dentistry tells us how and where people can sign up.
