SHEFFIELD LAKE — A North Ridgeville man was killed and a Sheffield Lake woman was hurt in a motorcycle crash last night.

Terrence Brennan, 48, was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson west on Lake Road at the intersection of Treadway Avenue in Sheffield Lake about 11 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox and utility pole, according to the Sheffield Lake Police Department.

Brennan was taken to the Avon Emergency Care Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Brennan’s passenger, Michelle Belcher, 38, of Sheffield Lake, was also taken to the Avon Emergency Care Center and was then LifeFlighted to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. She is in critical condition, a MetroHealth spokeswoman said this morning.

The accident remains under investigation, and it is unknown whether alcohol was a factor, according to Sheffield Lake police.

Sheffield Lake police and the Sheffield and Sheffield Lake fire departments responded to the crash.
