Lorain NAACP Annual King Celebration at 4 p.m., Second Baptist Church, 300 13th Street, Lorain. Keynote speaker Rev. Lovesier Lewis, Pastor.
“Voices of a Movement” in Finney Chapel at Oberlin College, 90 N. Professor Street, Oberlin from 5– 6:00 p.m.
This program will feature live music and a panel comprised of local voices sharing their personal stories about the civil rights era in Oberlin. Free and open to the public.

Commemorative Walk from Ely Square to Elyria High School – 10:30 a.m. 27th Annual Elyria Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community-Wide Celebration entitled “One Dream – One Purpose” featuring The Birth of a New Nation the unabridged audio-recording by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivering this inspiring sermon at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church., 11:00 a.m. – Elyria High School Performing Arts Center, 601 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Live broadcast by WJTB Radio 1040AM. Music performed by Zion Corn and Raymon King, III along with a dance performance by Move It! Dance Project. MLK Community Education & Information Fair 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. EHS Performing Arts Center Lobby
King Holiday Soul Food Dinner, Marcel Hall, 117 Oberlin Road, Elyria.
$10.00 adults $8 (under 10) from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by Marcel Holding Corp.
Lorain March and Community Forum begins at 12:00 noon at E. 31st and Clinton Avenue. The forum will be at the South Branch public library at 2121 Homewood Avenue, Lorain at 1:00 p.m., “Call to Action: Stop the Violence” and “Accentuate the Positive, Work for Change” sponsored by the Lorain County Interfaith Ministries. Sixth Street, Lorain at 1 p.m. All ages welcome to enjoy a dramatic presentation by the Teen Drama Club in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
