BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman guard Cameron Kuhn (Vermilion) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in three Yellow Jacket victories last week.
Kuhn, who earns his first career OAC weekly honor, scored 19 points in an 84-67 win at Fisher (Mass.) College, tallied a career-high 25 points in a 111-79 victory at Pine Manor (Mass.) College and ended his week with a team-high 17 points in a 78-63 OAC triumph against Capital University.
Last week, Kuhn scored 61 points and shot 72.4 percent from the field (21-of-29), including 6-of-10 from three-point land. He was a perfect 13-of-13 from the charity stripe and had six assists and had eight steals.
During BW’s current six-game winning streak, Kuhn is averaging 16.3 points-per-game and 3.7 rebounds-per-contest. He is shooting 33-of-54 (61.1%) from the field, including 50 percent from behind the arc (8-of-16). Kuhn has converted 24-of-25 (96.0%) from the foul line and he has recorded 12 assists and nine steals
This season, he is second on the team in scoring at 12.4 points-per-game and averages 3.3 rebounds-per-game. Kuhn shoots 51.5% from the field (51-of-99), including 44% from three-point range (11-of-25). He is 48-of-53 from the foul line and has 28 assists, 14 steals and a blocked shot.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, January 14 when they travel to Tiffin for an OAC game against Heidelberg University in the Seiberling Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. The next home game is this Saturday, January 17 when the team hosts an OAC game against Ohio Northern University in the Ursprung Gymnasium in the at 3 p.m.
