Monday, January 12, 2015: 36th Annual “Up to Business” King Event, LCCC , 1005 N. Abbe Road, Elyria from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, featuring the Business Support Network sponsored by FCII of Ohio. For info call 440-366-3244.
Wednesday, January 14-21, 2015: Elyria Public Library system-wide “Dr. King Make It Take Crafts,” participants will work on a dove mosaic, freedom/peace bell along with Dr. King book displays. Saturday, January 17, 2015: 36th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Festival, LPLS Domonkas Branch Library, 4125 E. Lake road, Sheffield Lake, at 11:00 a.m. Event co-sponsored by FCII of Ohio and Lorain Public Library System featuring plenty of audiovisual entertainment including live music. 3rd Annual NOBDA Youth King Celebration at 6:00 p.m., Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 632 West River Road, North, Elyria featuring Jeremy Lipscomb, Minister J.T. Hairston II and Company along with the MLK Ensemble. Requesting non-perishable items to replenish the Salvation Army Food Shelf
Sunday, January 18, 2015: Lorain NAACP King Celebration at 3:30 p.m., Greater St. Matthew AME Church, 1909 W. 24th Street, Lorain featuring Pastor Darion Banks, Speaker, Wesley Gospel Choir/Youth Praise Dancers.

Commemorative Walk from Ely Square to Elyria High School – 10:30 a.m. 29th Annual Elyria Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community-Wide Celebration entitled “Rising above Injustice with Acts of Kindness” at 11:00 a.m. – Elyria High School Performing Arts Center, 601 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Music performed by Minister Tommie Harris, Sr. and dance performances by Move It! Dance Project. MLK Community Education & Information Fair 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. EHS Performing Arts Center Lobby
