On Sunday, Dec. 11 Lorain High School Football coach Dave McFarland was recognized by the Cleveland Browns as the 2016 High School Coach of the Year. As the Browns honoree, McFarland will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando, courtesy of the NFL and the Browns, and can earn an additional $15,000 in grants for Lorain High School’s football program if named the NFL’s national recipient.
Coach McFarland led the Titans to the Division I State Playoffs for the second time in the past three years this season. The Titans fought their way to the State Quarterfinals before they were eliminated by Olentangy Liberty.
