Merry Christmas from WEOL! Join us this year for our holiday programming beginning at noon on Christmas Eve. Below is the schedule of shows taking place over the Holiday.
Christmas Eve:
Noon-3pm: Beckett Companies presents Handel’s Messiah (Performance by the Academy of Chorus of St.Martin in the Fields, conducted by Sir Nevill Mariner. This edition of the musical work is considered to be a landmark recording for both the Academy and Handel’s Messiah itself. It marks the first time that the Academy was ever recorded, and the first ever recording of the version that was used by Handel for the 1743 London Premiere.
3pm – 6pm: Manheim Steamroller An American Christmas (Holiday music and stories with the members of the band)
6pm-7pm: Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol (The classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his visit from the ghosts of Christmas)
7pm-10:30pm: Manheim Steamroller An American Christmas
10:30pm – 11:30pm: Methodist Church Midnight Mass
Christmas Day:
Midnight-9am: Manheim Steamroller An American Christmas
9am-11am – Festival of Carols (local high school choirs sing your favorite Christmas carols and Hymns)
