On the Tuesday the regular season of the Scholastic Games of Lorain County came to an end when the North Ridgeville team made up of Aidan Cunningham, Jonah Fechner and Emily Hiles, defeated the Clearview team consisting of Tahj Alkassem, Camryn Milburt and Nathaniel Suprun by a score of 290-250.
The Rangers picked up the early lead with a perfect first round and carried a ten point advantage all the way into the third round.
In the multi-clue round North Ridgeville pulled away from the Clippers hitting a big 30 point clue early on and coming up with correct answer to a few 20 point clues.
The Rangers entered the final round with forty point advantage which they were able to hold on to.
Despite the loss, Clearview’s Nathaniel Suprun won the Standout Scholar Award.
The Scholastic Games enter the playoffs next week on WEOL with the first wildcard match-up between Clearview and Brookside.
