Lorain County League Football Awards

On Tuesday, October 29th, the Lorain County League Football Coaches met to vote on awards earned for the 2024 Conference Football Season. The meeting was held at Gray Hawk Golf Course in LaGrange, Ohio and all coaches were in attendance.  Awards were voted on using only statistics earned during conference play. 

 

It was a banner year for the Lorain County League with important games being played throughout the league all the way through Week 10.  Four teams made the playoffs from the 8-team league (Black River, Columbia, Clearview, Keystone) with Keystone and Columbia winning, first-round games.  At the time of this release, Columbia is preparing for the Regional Semi-Final. 

 

The LC8 named an Offensive MVP, a Defensive MVP, and an Offensive and Defensive Lineman MVP as well as a Coach of the Year. The Offensive MVP was Zach Shackelford from Keystone. The Defensive MVP was Trey Moore from Wellington.  The Offensive Lineman MVP was Chase Voge from Columbia for the 2nd year in a row. The Defensive Lineman of the Year was Josiah Longo from Clearview. Coach of the Year honors went to Don Griswold of Keystone. 

 

League Coaches also filled out a 2nd Team All Lorain County League Team and doled out honorable mention awards.
