Jamies Carpet Shop: Touchdowns to Tackle Hunger

Monday, October 9th, 2017

This High School Football Season, Jamies Carpet Shop donated $10 to the Second Harvest Foodbank of North Central Ohio for every touchdown scored during a WEOL radio broadcast.

During the final game of the season on 10/27, Avon Lake hosted Midview. The two sides combined for four touchdowns before Midview pulled out a 17-13 victory. Those scores, combined with the $980 already earned this year, bring the grand total to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio to $1,020.

WEOL would like to thank Jamies Carpet Shop for the generous donation and of course the Second Harvest Foo Bank of North Central Ohio for helping to tackle hunger in Ohio.

Although the high school football regular season has come to an end, you can still hear all the great playoff action on AM930 and WEOL.com.
