8:10am – In the President Trumps first day of office Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown introduced the Buy America Bill. This morning we spoke with the Senator about the bill and his time at President Trumps inauguration.

8:40am – The United Way of Greater Lorain County and the Lorain City School District have partnered with four others organizations to form a community collaborative focused on improving kindergarten readiness for children in Lorain. This morning United Way spokesperson Christine Matusak Plass told us more about the new collaborative.

NOOA Pink Whistle Intiative

nooa-pinkYou may be seeing pink at local high school basketball games this week.

The Northern Ohio Officials Association will be using pink whistles at select games in the area January 23- January 29 to help raise cancer awareness. The NOOA is also collecting funds though the sales of pink whistles and donation. The money earned through the initiative will be donated to cancer research. So far, the campaign has raised over $800 to help fight cancer. The NOOA’s ultimate goal is to raise $2,000 dollars this year.

If you would like to help in the fight, the NOOA asks that you make checks payable to the American Cancer Society and send them to NOOA, PO Box 676, Berea, Ohio 44017.

On Saturday, the Sports Wrap-Up Crew was at Mama Jo Homestyle Pies in Amherst. While they were there, former voice of the Cavaliers and NBA Hall of Fame broadcaster Joe Tait stopped in and told the story of how he shot 100% from the field. Trust us when we say you don’t want to miss this.
