On the radio, the Lorain Titans look to hand Midview third year head coach DJ Shaw his first regular season loss. In order to do so the Titans will rely on a group of veterans that include the highly touted linebacker Naz Bohannon. On the defensive side of the ball, the Titans will have their hands full trying to pin down Middies quarterback Dustin Crum. The Kent State commit will not have last years Golden Helmet winner Logan Bolin to throw to this season, but should still find success with strong receiving core led by Alec Forrer. Pregame begins on AM930 starting at 6:30pm. You can also hear the game here on WEOL.com by clicking on the teams helmets above.
Game two of our Kolczun & Kolczun Gridiron Clash features an Elyria Catholic team that will once again have it’s eyes on a playoff run against a Brookside program that made tremendous strides under first year head coach Paul Ferguson a season ago. After both teams finished the 2015 campaign at 6-4, they are looking to improve and make runs at their respective conference titles. The Panthers will look to gain an edge on offense by following returners Daryl Davis at running back and wide receiver Sam Best. The Cardinals will turn to lineman Michael Kovacs, Kevin Decato and Gregg Packard to open up the Panthers defense. Pregame begins at 6:30pm right here on WEOL.com Stream 2. The Tri-C Medina County Match-Up features a solid match up between to Highland and Brunswick. After finishing a disappointing 3-7 in 2015, the Blue Devils are looking to get back into playoff form under coach Luke Beal. Spearheading the offense will be Alex Gillespie who totaled 751 yards and three touchdowns as a full back last year. Highland enters the 2016 season after finishing 6-5 and making the postseason a year ago. The Hornets return a strong defense led by All-Suburban League lineman Joey D’Amico.
