Walk MS Lorain County

walk ms Lorain CountyThis year’s Walk MS Lorain Countty will be held Saturday, May 7 at the First Church in Oberlin. The Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser will begin at 8am.

The event allows friends, loved ones and co-workers the opportunity to get together and help raise money in the fight to end MS. Yearly this event has helped raise over $56,000 to help fund MS research.

Those interested in raising money by walking, volunteering at the walk, supporting a team or sponsoring the event are welcome to visit the Walk MS Lorain County website  for more information.

The WFA is “real women playing real football.” This morning Cleveland Fusion tight end Valerie Riley and offensive lineman Elizabeth Dillow stopped by to talk about their opening game against the Indy Crash on April 2.

The Annual White House Easter Egg Roll took place yesterday. Today we spoke with Chris Pierce of the American Egg Board about the event and all the delicious ways to make an egg.

The Browns signed Robert Griffin III  just a few weeks before the 2016 Draft. Will they still look for a quarterback at number two or will they perhaps chose a defensive player. Today the Chronicle Telegram’s Scott Petrak talked about Browns latest signing and what he thinks they will do on April 28.

Also helping to combat hunger in Northeast Ohio, The Second Harvest Food Bank’s  Harvest for Hunger Campaign is in full swing.  They started this years campaign with a leap year Kick-Off party at the Second Harvest Food Bank’s head quarters on Baumhart Road in Lorain. The event was emceed by WEOL’s Craig Adams and also featured a speech from Honorary Chair Tony Gallo. To hear what he had to say click here.

The Harvest for Hunger Campaign is a collaborative effort of four food banks covering 21 counties in northeast Ohio. It is one of the largest food and fund drives in the country. This years goal is to raise over 1 million meals with donated funds and food to restock local food pantries and provide hot meals at local kitchens and shelters in the region.
