October means it is officially spooky season! The Lorain Public Library System is getting their spook on with There’s Something Strange in Ohio: Unusual Spooky Tales!

Explore strange and unusual tales from the state of Ohio. What historical facts are too strange to be false, and what is just an urban legend? Beth Collins stopped by to talk about the program, which takes place at the following places and times:

  • 10/17 6:30-7:30pm, Main Library
  • 10/24 6pm, South Lorain Branch

10/13/22 7:20 John Telich let his true feelings known about the frustrations with the Cleveland Browns on this week’s Budweiser’s From the Sidelines, presented by North Ridgeville Convenient Sunoco on Center Ridge and Barton Roads. The Browns now welcome in the New England Patriots after a disappointing loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Defense remains the issue, and with some new personnel brought in, J.T. is hoping to see improvement on that side of the ball this week. (22:23)

He also discussed a recent meeting with elected officials and executives from Honda to announce the company will invest $3.5 billion with LG Energy Solutions to establish a new Central Ohio facility to make the batteries that power electric vehicles and $700 million to re-tool several existing auto and powertrain plants to produce electric vehicles. Dave O’Brien from the Chronicle-Telegram returned with our own Rocco Nuosci as they discussed the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program plan being discussed with the Elyria Schools. Plus, the guys recap Carissa Woytach’s tour with Lorain officials to two permanent supportive housing properties on Cleveland’s westside as Lorain looks to bring a similar facility to the city.
