11/23/21 7:10 Unlike Hollywood sci-fi movies, we’ve rarely had to deal with incoming asteroids on Earth, but NASA is taking no chances! At 1:30 Wednesday morning, NASA will launch the Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART. The first of its kind, DART will test the idea of deflecting an asteroid by colliding with the small moonlet in a double asteroid system. NASA Program Scientist Tom Wagner stopped by to talk some more about the project! (9:33)

11/18/21 8:40 Laura Malone from the Community Foundation of Lorain County made her monthly visit and had lots to discuss! The Youth Fund Grant Cycle is open from November 1 – December 1 and provides grants to non-profit organizations and teachers who provide youth development and educational opportunities to youth in Lorain County. The Racial Equity Fund Mini-Grant Cycle is open from November 10 – December 31 and provides funds to organizations that support the transformation of structures and systems with the goal of providing access and equal experiences. Their scholarship process opens December 15 if students want to start preparing their transcripts, recommendation letters and personal statements. Finally, the soon to be announced “Sip and Shop” event to benefit the Women’s Fund’s Change the Cycle initiative! (12:11)
