We spent the morning over at the Chronicle Telegram as they continue to accept gifts for the Not Forgotten Box.

Bruce and Craig talked with Lucy Goldsmith and Bill Hudnutt.

Teacher Mel Rainey and student Rachel Fitzpatrick from Elyria High School talked about an art project for the Not Forgotten collection box.

And Major Bob Sears of the Salvation Army told us about how the donations are distributed.

Wildcats Falcons Final

The Keystone Wildcats picked up a big win over Firelands in the Patriot Athletic Conference on Wednesday night. The Wildcats McKenah Peters led all scores in the game with 26 points. Keystone advances to 4-0 on the season. The Falcons fall to 3-1 on the year.

Bulldogs Comets Final

The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs overcame an 11 point second half deficit Friday night to pick up their third Southwest Conference win of the season over Amherst. The Commets ended the first half with an 18-4 run to take the lead into the break. However, Behind Kevin Meeha’s game high 27 points the Bulldogs put together a 17-0 run in the fourth quarter to reclaim the lead and with it the win.

Eagles Rangers Final

The Avon Eagles Girls advanced to 5-2 on the year with a win over Southwestern Conference rival North Ridgeville. Leading the way for the Eagles was Alyssa Douzos who tallied a game high 13 points. Sharde Tucker posted 12 points in the Rangers loss.

Pioneers Demons FinalElyria’s  Blake Furcron posted a career high 37 points as the Pioneers edged out Westlake on Saturday night. The Pioneers advance to 3-1 on the early season while the loss drops the Demons to 1-4 on the year.
