United Way Kickoff Campaign

The United Way of Greater Lorain County will host their annual Campaign Kickoff this Friday at Mike Bass Ford from 11:30am – 1pm.

The event will be hosted by the United way of Greater Lorain County and feature all 11 Community Collaboratives along with the Lorain County Volunteer Connection.

This annual event signals the start of the United Way of Greater Lorain County’s Annual Fundraising Campaign. It is free to member of the community and will feature a free lunch, Greater Cleveland’s famous mascots, live music from the Midview High School Marching Band and a highlighting of the impact that is being made by the Collaborative through fundraising efforts.

During the event WEOL’s Bruce Van Dyke and Craig Adams will broadcast from the show room letting you know about all the fun going on. If you can’t make it, make sure to tune into AM930 and WEOL.com.

Again, the event is free to the community, so come down to Mike Bass Ford on Friday from 11:30am to 1pm and listen in on AM930 WEOL.

North Ridgeville Corn Festival

The North Ridgeville Corn Festival begins is this weekend and WEOL will be there.

On Saturday, August 12, Join WEOL from noon – 5:30pm for live updates from the 2017 Corn Festival.

During the day, we will take a look at all the great things that are on display. Our Broadcasters will talk with food vendors, entertainers, and those in attendance to give you an in depth look at the big event.

LCCC Jack Nicklaus Scholarship Golf Benefit

On Monday, August 14 Lorain County Community College will hold their annual Jack Nickalus Scholarship Golf Benefit at the Elyria Country Club, and we will be there live on Bull’s Eye on the Afternoon. Join us as we broadcast from the special event from 3pm-5:30pm.

This year’s celebrity golfer will be  Jimmy Hanlin the host of the hit Fox Sports golf show, 18 Holes.

During Bull’s Eye on the Afternoon, we will talk with those from the foundation, members of the Elyria Country club and let you know how things are going on the links. The fun hits the airwaves,  Monday August, 14 from 3pm – 5:30pm  live from the 2017 Jack Nickalus Scholarship Golf Benefit.

Elyria Bicentennial Parade

Friday, August 4th, 2017

The Elyria Bicentennial Parade takes place this Saturday. The Parade will start at 10am at Elyria Catholic High School, travel down Gulf Road, Ohio Street, Washington Avenue and Middle Avenue before coming an end at Elyria High School. The grand stands will be located on Gulf Road and Ohio Street in front of Ely Elementary School.

For those who can’t make the event. WEOL’s Craig Adams and Matt Douglass  will broadcast the parade live from Ely Square from 11am to noon on AM930 and WEOL.com.

Come down and enjoy the event, or tune in from you home for the Elyria Bicentennial Parade this Saturday.
