What a strange week of stormy High School Football Games in Lorain County….Tim and Matt Recap the games, name the First Federal Savings of Lorain Team of the week and get you ready for a great week 4 on this edition of the Blitz.

The Jamie’s Carpet Shop Touchdowns to Tackle Hunger Campaign is back underway for the 2019 season.

Fore every touchdown that is scored during our high school football radio broadcasts on WEOL, Jamie’s Carpet Shop is donating $10 dollars to the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.

During week Nine of the season, Avon and Olmsted Falls  combined for five more touchdowns.

Adding our Week 9 touchdowns to the grand total. Football teams in and around Lorain County have now raised $560 to help tackle hunger in North East Ohio.

The total is sure to rise in the final week of the season when Avon Lake hosts Olmsted Falls with playoff postioning on the line Friday night on  AM930/100.3FM WEOL.

It is week three of the High School football season and we have a pair of great match-ups on WEOL in The Center for Orthopedics Gridiron Clashes and one big battle of undefeated powers in our Tri-C Medina County Match-Up.

Coverage of The Center For Orthopedics Gridiron Clash on AM930/100.3FM and WEOL.com Stream 1 starts at 6:30pm, when Vermilion and Firelands renew their rivalry at Firelands High School.

Last season the two teams fought to the final whistle before the Falcons were able to claim a 21-19 win over their rivals. This year both teams enter the game looking for their first victory of the 2019 campaign. This week’s Center for Orthopedics Gridiron Clash on Stream 2 features a battle of Great Lakes Conference Foes when Elyria Catholic takes on Bay.

Last season the Panthers defeated the #3 Rockets in the final seconds when Jaret Frants caught the game winning touchdown just before time expired. This year the 1-1 Bay Rockets will be looking for revenge when they host the 2-0 Panthers.

This weeks Tri-C Medina County Match-Up features a pair of teams who enter week 3 undefeated.

Wadsworth enters the game having picked up wins against Highland and Wooster. Medina earned a week 1 victory over Cleveland Heights before beating Highland in week 2.

Pregame gets underway just after 6:30pm on Friday night.
