Once a month, the WEOL Morning Show checks in with the Community Foundation of Lorain County! From COVID-19 support to scholarship opportunities, the Community Foundation does it all!

12/16/21 Laura Malone from the Community Foundation of Lorain County made her return to WEOL as she discussed scholarship applications now available, Racial Equity Mini-Grants, and all things dealing with year-end giving!

11/18/21 Laura Malone from the Community Foundation of Lorain County made her monthly visit and had lots to discuss! The Youth Fund Grant Cycle is open from November 1 – December 1 and provides grants to non-profit organizations and teachers who provide youth development and educational opportunities to youth in Lorain County. The Racial Equity Fund Mini-Grant Cycle is open from November 10 – December 31 and provides funds to organizations that support the transformation of structures and systems with the goal of providing access and equal experiences. Their scholarship process opens December 15 if students want to start preparing their transcripts, recommendation letters and personal statements. Finally, the soon to be announced “Sip and Shop” event to benefit the Women’s Fund’s Change the Cycle initiative!

9/16/21 Laura Malone from the Community Foundation of Lorain County stopped by to talk about the 2nd annual Connect to a Cause, a coordinated, 12-hour crowdfunding campaign on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
