Withers spent 30 years with the AP, 26 of those in Cleveland, and is now calling it a career. Well, sort of.
Tom joined our Rocco Nuosci and Ron Jantz to talk about his time with the AP, particularly his years in Cleveland, and some of the incredible stories and athletes he covered along the way.
High School Wrestling Weekly Recap: Becca Lynn from Lorain County Smackdown
On this week’s episode of the WEOL High School Wrestling Weekly Recap, Tom Evans and Rocco Nuosci were joined by Becca Lynn, creator of the Lorain County Smackdown Facebook page and website. Becca keeps track of schedules, results, and takes some incredible photos of all the action on the mats. Becca talked to the guys about how she got her start with Lorain County Smackdown and her increasingly impressive coverage of local high school wrestling.
Of course, the guys go over recent results from around the county and talk about some of the upcoming action!

John Telich: Browns Must Find a Way to be Competitive Again in 2025
Longtime sportscaster John Telich joined our Rocco Nuosci for another week of Budweiser’s From the Sidelines, presented by North Ridgeville Convenient Sunoco on Center Ridge and Barton Roads.
As the Cleveland Browns’ season came to a close last weekend, one thing was made clear: this type of season cannot happen again in 2025. John discussed what offseason moves he anticipates, particularly at the quarterback position, as the Browns look ahead to the upcoming free agency period and NFL Draft.
