Wellington’s New Park

The City of Wellington has come up with a plan to place a park in the Old McCormick School site.

In the years ahead, the city plans move forward with the idea of building a recreational area where the former school once stood. The designed plan will have a bandstand with restrooms and drinking fountains near Courtland Street. In the center of the park their will be a large evergreen tree that will feature lights through out the year, and joggers will be able to run the around the park on an asphalt path that surrounds the park.

Recently on Bull’s Eye on the Afternoon, Wellington Mayor Hans Schneider joined the crew to tell us more about the park and the upcoming Bicentennial Celebration for the city.
