Catching Up with Elyria State Track Champion Mateo Medina

Mateo Medina
Mateo Medina may be the talk of Elyria right now, and for good reason! Medina, a graduating senior from Elyria High School, obtained his goal this spring by winning the Triple Crown, capturing the State Championship in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes. Mateo’s efforts were also strong enough to single-handedly lead the Pioneers to the team title as well.
Mateo joined our own Rocco Nuosci as he talked about reaching his goals this spring, all the hard work and dedication that was put in toward meeting those goals, and his excitement to continue running at the collegiate level.
