John Telich: Remembering Jim Donovan and Talking Browns

Thursday, October 31st, 2024

Cleveland lost an absolute legend this past weekend with the passing of longtime radio voice of the Browns, Jim Donovan. John Telich joined our Rocco Nuosci to discuss the legacy that Jim leaves behind and how the Browns turned heartbreak into a little bit of magic last Sunday with a win over the Ravens.

Check it out on this week’s Budweiser’s From the Sidelines, presented by North Ridgeville Convenient Sunoco on Center Ridge and Barton Roads. Take a listen below!

Cavs quiet Lakers 134-110 as LeBron and Bronny come “Home”

Thursday, October 31st, 2024

Cleveland- It was a night that held a lot of sentiment as Lebron James and son Bronny visited the Cavs. The father and son duo donning Lakers uniforms were the talk of the night. At least for a few emotion filled moments. The Cavs played a video tribute and the crowd showed their love for LeBron and his son. Bronny’s name was chanted throughout Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse by fans wanting to see him take the court in the 4th quarter. In a full circle moment Bronny scored his first bucket in Cleveland…just as his father did. A Hollywood writer couldn’t have done a better script.

Our contributor Rachel was there and has all the details here:

The Cavalier team wasn’t as welcoming on the court. Jumping out to an early lead, outscoring the Lakers by 19 points in the 1st quarter, the Cavs kept their foot on the gas. Evan Mobley led the team with 25 points and Donovan Mitchell was right behind with 24.

Cleveland remains undefeated. Their 5-0 start is the first since 2016. We all know how that season ended.

Thank You for Everything, Jim Donovan

Monday, October 28th, 2024

From the Cleveland Browns on the recently passed legendary radio voice of the team, Jim Donovan.

We are heartbroken that Jim Donovan, the Voice of the Browns, has passed away.
Jim provided so much joy and love to this city. His steady presence on the radio for Browns games and on television for nightly news made it feel like he was an extended family member for all those that tuned in. His signature calls will be forever embedded in Browns history.
Our thoughts are with Jim’s family and everyone who had the immense pleasure of considering him a friend.
