It was a tremendous year across Lorain County high school girls basketball, resulting in numerous of our local athletes bringing home All-Ohio honors.

Congratulations to the Keystone Lady Wildcats!

While it didn’t end like we all wanted, congratulations to Coach Rocky Houston and his Keystone Lady Wildcats basketball team for an incredible 28-win season that ended with a trip to Dayton for the State Final Four!

Elyria High Hires Matt Wilson as Next Football Coach

The Elyria Pioneers have hired James “Matt” Wilson as their next head football coach. Wilson comes to Elyria from Berea-Midpark where he served as the Titans defensive coordinator.

Wilson is also a former head coach at Clearview where he earned Lorain County Coach of the Year honors. Per the school’s press release, Elyria Athletic Director Heather Beck “praised Wilson’s wealth of experience, innovative team-building ideas, and readiness to get right to work.

Congratulations to the Pioneers and Coach Wilson, and best of luck this upcoming season!
