2017 Spellebrate Lorain County

Tuesday, June 20th, 2017

On Thursday, June 22nd at 6pm, the United Way of Greater Lorain County will hold their Second Annual  Spellebrate Lorain County: A Night at the Bee! fundraiser at the Emerald Event Center in Avon.

Teams of four will compete for a  $1,000 grand prize, but it’s not just the spelling that will dictate how far a team goes. Spectators can help influence the outcome of the game by saving their favorite teams from elimination, and they too will have a chance at claiming a share of the jackpot!

During the event, WEOL’s Craig Adams will bring the public live updates on WEOL.

In addition to the spelling bee, the evening will also include a silent auction, sideboards and more fun ways to win prizes! Tickets for the event are $30 each and include dinner and drink ticket. For more information about Thursdays Spellebrate Lorain County event visit the United Way’s website by clicking here.

Our 2017 Spotlight on Lorain has come to an end, but the interviews live on. If you missed any of this weeks shows or would just like to listen back to one of the weeks interviews, visit our Spotlight on Lorain archive page by clicking here.

We would like to thank everyone at Lakeview Park and German’s Villa for letting broadcast from their venues over the week. We would also like to thank all of our guest who gave us a glimpse into the city of Lorain, its schools and the  International Festival.

Next month we take our Spotlight Series to Amherst. We will broadcast live July 17 – July 19 at Arabica Bistro on Park Avenue on the WEOL Morning Show.
